How to gain admission into IIM Ahmedabad's PGPX program | GMAT | Essays | Interviews First step is to target a ~700 score in GMAT. Quite achievable through the Official Guide and Mock GMATs on Start Your Business Master's and MBA Journey Here

My score was 760/800 in the year 2010

The IIMA PGPX Essays are an important part of the IIMA PGPX application, but the application itself is structured differently than those of most other schools. Instead of asking for essays in the first stage of the application process, IIMA asks for the essays after the first shortlist has been released. Selected students have around 10-15 days to create the essays and submit them after the shortlist is announced.

The essays topics for this year are: IIMA-PGPX

Essay 1. What do you expect to gain from the PGPX course at IIMA? (500 words)

Essay 2. Describe an event that has influenced your life and when you demonstrated leadership qualities. (500 words)

In Interview, topics for extempore are on random topics - mine was Development is the euphemism for unbridled and insatiable consumption

Interview should be clearly demonstrating logical answers to
a) Why MBA
b) Why Now
c) Why IIMA and
d) Why Me IIMA

IIMA itself says that the interview is a key tool used to not just validate what applicants say in their application and their essays, but also to determine leadership potential, key strengths, and overall fit with the program.

Some questions around current affairs and the Indian economy could also be asked. Basic preparation along these is advised as well.
