MumbaiWe’re seeking a high-calibre Finance professional to join our Finance team, and head up responsibility for accounting and reporting within Britvic India. We are looking for a chartered accountant and commerce graduate from an FMCG / Retail background to manage the supervision and preparation of critical financial controls, and to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of the management information packs and reporting for the India business.
In this newly created role, you will assume responsibility for ensuring that calculations for balance sheet, cash flow, P&L and vendor reconciliations are all correct, as well as confirming that statutory requirements are maintained. To do this you’ll require good Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables and V-look ups), a strong understanding of trial balances, as well as ideally some previous ERP-experience (e.g. oracle or SAP).
Key responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements on period end i.e. P & L, balance sheet and cash flow
- Preparation of Period end MIP, half yearly disclosure packs and other ad-hoc day to day reports
- Coordinating with the Company secretary to ensure Statutory compliance
- Maintaining accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts; defining accounting policies and procedures.
- Support the Finance head in bank and cash forecasting
- Guides other departments by researching and interpreting accounting policy; applying observations and recommendations to operational issues.
