The role leads the Finance Organization for GE Healthcare Sustainable Health Solutions in the India, South Asia, ASEAN, and Africa regions. Regions include countries such as, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and all 54 African countries.
The role has functional finance responsibility and strategic management for $1.5B revenue across multiple GEHC business segments & manufacturing plants in the region. The role reports directly to the VP and CFO for GE Healthcare and partners with the CEO and VP of Sustainable Health Solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with region leader and staff to drive operating performance & act as champion for pricing, prep of sales plan/monthly estimation of revenue to standard margin, proactively recognize standard revenue recognition practices, deal escalation, contribution margin walks
Partnering with GEHC Sustainable Health Solutions leadership team to drive a strategic, new direction for the region and business to accelerate growth and simplify the business.
Driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions
Streamline Accounting & Controllership practices across legal entities, and work with Controllership & Operational teams to adopt Healthcare SOP’s; drive controllership through operational team and ensure SOX compliance
Drive many strategic initiatives for the business to localize capabilities in the region, primarily around the new solutions and Fastworks models, building technology capabilities and executing new strategic frameworks for the region and GE.
Provide financial analysis and insight in support of business decision making needs, including evaluation of major risks and opportunities
Coordinate internal and external financial audits for the business and ensuring all legal, tax, and GAAP requirements are met
Finance liaison for all Business Development & Acquisition Integration activities; Support Business Development in the evaluation and implementation of Growth opportunities
Provide Finance leadership for NPI activities (e.g. target costing, margin analysis, etc.)
Help define the IT platform and requirements to support analysis, improve data visibility and ensure controllership
Lead cross-functional projects focused on improving rigor in key Finance processes, reducing costs & improving profitability, such as Pricing, Warranty Accounting, Demo Inventory
Ensure Integrity is upheld throughout all processes, policies and practices, by ensuring appropriate communication, training and prioritization of related activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of eight years of financial work experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of three years Corporate Audit Staff experience; or High School Diploma/GED and minimum of ten years financial work experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews
Demonstrated experience and understanding of Accounting Principles and Controllership.
Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function involving process improvement; able to quickly grasp new ideas
Leadership experience: has minimum of three years experience leading team members
Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
You must be willing to travel a minimum of 30% of the time
