The challenge
Revenue Assurance Analyst (India)
The
Revenue Assurance Analyst will be a key member of the Revenue
Operations organization and will be responsible for multiple aspects of
revenue assurance and operations related functions, including but not
limited to operational audit of closed deals to ensure adherence to
company policies and procedures. This individual will review closed
deals and perform an operational audit to ensure accuracy and
completeness in accordance with established guidelines to document
operational issues and provide increased visibility into metrics and
data to facilitate continuous improvement of Revenue Operations’
policies and procedures. Additional responsibilities may include review
of revenue generating contracts and associated deal terms and pricing
approvals to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Adobe’s internal
policies for revenue recognition and operations.
What you’ll do
- Perform an operational audit on closed deals to document operational issues. Prepare and report findings to provide insights that will enable improvements of existing policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with various teams which support the Quote to Cash process (Deal Desk, Order Management, Sales, Legal, and other operational teams) on deal terms and pricing approvals to ensure accurate and timely accounting for revenue in the financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and Adobe’s revenue recognition and operations policies
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) requirements for the contract review and approval process
- Identify process and systems related opportunities within Revenue Operations and assist in implementing changes to drive scalability, efficiency, and productivity
- Complete ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed
What you need to succeed
- BS/BA Degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent)
- 5-7 years of relevant enterprise software business experience working in a fast-paced US based software company in Revenue Assurance, Deal Desk or Sales Support capacity
- Technical knowledge of software revenue recognition and experience in reviewing multiple-element arrangements and complex contractual terms to determine appropriate revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP (ASC 985-605 and related)
- Working knowledge of audit procedures, compliance, sales support and quote-to-cash processes within an enterprise software company and understanding of financial systems and reporting tools (SAP, Salesforce.com, etc.)
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills with high degree of financial and business acumen
- Solid Microsoft Excel skills
- High energy and exceptional work ethic with ability to work independently and productively with minimal supervision and limited direction while taking full ownership of area of responsibility
- Exceptional organizational skills and detail-oriented with ability to juggle multiple tasks and re-prioritize between projects, as necessary
