Purpose of Job (principal task)

The Job holder is responsible for ensuring all legal compliances applicable to
company for its operations at manufacturing site at Sidhrawali, Technical Center and
Regional Offices including but not limited to Factories Act, Labour laws, Pollution and
HSE related laws. It is expected from Job holder to provide first level support for
compliances of all commercial laws such as excise tax, FEMA and customs etc.
Drafting of various agreements (Dealers, Contractors, Consultants, Employees,
lease etc.), replies of notices received from various agencies, assistance in audits
and inspections, visits of Government agencies, liasioning with the various
Government departments in another key deliverable from Job holder.
Job holder is responsible for handling litigation matter and providing the first-hand
view on the legal cases.
Being a Company Secretary, a legal position under law, the job holder is responsible
for compliances under Companies Act and another similar legislations and rules
framed there under.
The Job holder is responsible for ensuring adoption and adherence to various global
policies and procedures relating to group companies such Competition law,
Anti-Corruption and Bribery etc.

Requirements on job holder

a) Qualification and experience:


Company Secretary with at least 5-6 years post qualification experience with practical
experience in handling litigation matters and liaison with Government agencies for
various compliance matters.

b) Others Skills:
Sound knowledge of legislations applicable to start-up and running of business
operations (such as setting-up of new company(s), warehouse(s), bringing FDI,
legislations pertaining to manufacturing and HSE – Factories Act, Pollution, Labour
Law & commercial law – Excise, Sales Tax, Imports-Exports etc.).
Personal Requirements:
Experience of working in global business environment is preferable. Ability to multitasking,
work under pressure to meet the deadlines. Good interpersonal, verbal/
written communication skills, as the person is expected to work in internal (interact
with employee etc.) and external environment (interaction with government agencies
and consultants).
