Finance Controller – 

Designation – Manager / Associate General Manager (In Indian Context)

The incumbent will head the finance accounting function of the company

The key responsibilities include:

Financial Accounting: Annual and semi-annual financial accounts as per IFRS, Hyperion financials and reports for Vedanta consolidation

Management accounting: Preparation of detailed MIS, variance analysis, finance report every month which includes various management accounting aspects of the business. Other management report required for Vedanta corporate

Insurance: Bringing value to the business in terms of better negotiation of the terms of the insurance policy while mitigating the business risk at the most optimum level

Payroll: Overview of the control systems surrounding the payroll to ensure that the salary is appropriately paid and accounted properly

Driving the automation projects in close coordination with IT department

Financial modelling and forecast

Liasoning with the external and internal auditors to ensure that there are no major audit observations. Preparation of all the audit working papers like going concern paper and impairment calculations note to assist the audit process

Close coordination with the business heads playing a business partner role to enable business to achieve the plan numbers

Responsible for internal control system in IBU and communicate financial policies & procedures to staff and ensure they are implemented and adhered to.

Driving other business initiatives as required by Executive committee

Qualifications / Requirements

CA/ACCA having 7-10 years of experience in Finance function.

Proficient with IFRS with recent developments

Strong Analytical skills

Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills

Experience in Commercial negotiations and contracts

Very good working knowledge of SAP FICO/MM Modules and other IT environment to leverage IT to the maximum
