| This position is a part of the Finance Centre of Excellence team at Synchrony Financial, Hyderabad which carries out financial planning, analysis and reporting work for various Functions across Synchrony Financial Business in US Essential Responsibilities: OPEX, Headcount & Estimate Reporting: - Preparation of various OPEX & Headcount reports and ensuring timely adherence to deadlines - Provide commentary and insights on performance against budgeted (OP) plan and prior year - Prepare monthly and quarterly Estimate reporting (pre- month end estimates of expenses) & Generate variance analysis reports for IT Senior Leadership. - Monthly management reporting, updating reporting decks & management reviews with Finance Management as required Budgeting and Forecast Process: - Work with US stakeholders to create and review quarterly forecasts and annual OP plans, including reporting & analysis to explain changes against given baselines - Providing end to end support to Operating Planning exercise including uploading numbers into Hyperion and Client profitability Month End Reporting activities: - Assist in key month end activities which provides oversight of completeness and accuracy of underlying management information - Reviewing financials on a daily basis during the month-end period and reporting issues to finance management, comparing Actual to plan/ forecast/ prior period to ensure correct month-end close & investigating unusual postings of expenses - Prepare accruals and other journal entries and lead the month end close process - Track, accrue, report and project vendor, consulting, program spend Qualifications/Requirements: - Good financial analysis and management reporting background having 5 + years of prior work experience - Bachelor in Accounting or in any equivalent discipline - Experienced in Microsoft Office (including PowerPoint, Excel, Word) - Knowledge of Oracle/Hyperion - Candidate should have a very high level of attention to detail - Accounting knowledge, analytical and problem solving skills, multitasking capabilities are a must - Ability to analyze complex issues, develop appropriate action plans and deliver results timely - Ability to lead projects and assignments Should have completed 18 months in SYF and 12 months in the current role. Should not be on active PIP/ Formal or Final Formal Corrective. Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Desired Characteristics: - MBA/CA/CMA preferred - Knowledge of MS Access, Advanced Excel & Macros - Prior experience mirroring US operating hours preferred - Demonstrated strong analytical, project management and organizational skills Apply Now |
