Finance takes overall responsibility to develop Finance in line with IKEA Group’s need and strategies, and support IKEA in achieving the objectives of Growing IKEA together 2020. Within Finance, the purpose of Accounting & Reporting is to provide timely, accurate, relevant, comparable and understandable financial information.  Financial information is derived through the Close, Consolidate and Report process and support judgments and decisions by the users of the financial information and securing compliance and better financial control Accounting & Reporting is made up of:   Local / country Accounting & Reporting, responsible for local accounting, local / country consolidation, local / legal reporting and business partner to local IKEA companies. Group Shared Service, executing transactional activities in the field of Finance, currently these are: Travel Expense Claims (TEC), Account Payable (AP) Group Accounting & Reporting, responsible for following: Accounting and Reporting framework, processes and solutions Development of the Accounting & Reporting including   competence development and compliance Group consolidation, financial control and reporting. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE Your role will involve but not be restricted to:   Participating in the Retail Expansion Projects related to Accounting and reporting. Preparing Monthly Compliances Report & Control whether all compliances are completed Clearing Down of GL Accounts in System-Matching of Balance Sheet Accounts Maintenance of Service Tax Input Credit  Register Bank Reconciliations - For All Group Companies Back up for Accounts Payable Process Handling of  Purchase and Sales Accounting JOB SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE & SKILLED REQUIRED Essential   Education in Accounting Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Basic knowledge of Accounting and Reporting processes Basic knowledge of all IKEA business processes Communicate clearly and confidently in English Proficient in MS Office skills Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables Experience in use of automated accounting systems Experience in multicultural and multinational organisation Preferred   B.Com and Chartered Accountant with 3-5 years of experience. Good knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipments ESSENTIALS FOR THE ROLE   Experience of working in a retail and/or logistics role, including previous experience of leading others. Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in English. Ability to work through others, set priorities, delegate responsibility and give open and honest feedback. Business-minded with a clear customer focus. Ability to set and implement action plans and provide clear direction and follow up goals over a number of years.
