    Main Purpose

    • Month end book close
    • Review and provide month end accruals, amortization, depreciation etc.
    • Deep dive analysis of entire overhead expenses of the company
    • Monthly reporting to department owners and provide variance analysis vis-à-vis budget
    • Preparation of budgets and forecasts
    • Review of balance sheet and post necessary journals
    • Interacting with auditors and resolution of audit queries

    Key Responsibilities

    - To be responsible for all demurrage/TDL/Regular Oil payments/Finance Payments & Transfers/Cash Transfers/ Swifts/Offsets/Intercompany Payments ensuring payments are made efficiently and to deadline.
    - Liaise with demurrage/TDL/Operations personnel to ensure any queries are dealt with swiftly.
    - Create and read reports to ensure deadlines and payment cut offs are met with accuracy.
    - Deal with foreign currency payments, liaising with the Treasury FX department to ensure that all
    payments are made with the correct FX rates
    - To be responsible for all demurrage/TDL/Regular Oil/ Refined Metals related receipts and bank account movements.
    - Liaising with Athens personnel, (who head up the demurrage department) informing them of all demurrage related funds received.
    - Posting the receipt of funds accurately in the Trafigura system, ensuring it reflects the bank statements.
    - Reconciling all accounts internally through daily reports sent by the accounts department.

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities

    o Qualified Chartered Accountant
    o Strong academic background
    o Highly developed communication skills and experience of operating in an international environment, preferably from working for an international company.
    o Self-motivated with a mature attitude. Able to work independently in a professional manner and maintain high standards of integrity.
    o Ability to question and challenge the existing processes, with a view to creating reporting efficiencies and improvements.
    o International outlook. Able to cope with working with staff in different offices worldwide.
    o Drive and determination to obtain understanding of complex, business-driven transactions and report these accurately according to the appropriate accounting standards.
    o Intermediate/advanced Excel skills and a willingness to use technology to complete/ improve daily tasks.
    o Team player with an enthusiastic approach to fresh challenges.
    o Strong communication skills. Comfortable to liaise with non-accounting staff at all levels on a routine basis.
