Description

Position is responsible for managing Record to Report operations activities, which includes processing journal entries, process intecompany transactions, handle fixed assets accounting and close process activities, reconciliations, reporting, tax accounting etc.

Should possess prior experience of managing RTR team with people management responsibilities

Should possess hands-on knowledge of end to end Record to Report process operations

Should handle Cartesis upload and reporting activities

Review/Handle second level check of Balance Sheet Reconciliations

Responsible for managing the daily/weekly/monthly activities for the team and meeting the defined SLAs

Ability to handle BU/function specific emergency requests (eg. Journal Entry processing)

Handle escalations and RTR reporting including metrics/SLA reporting

Respond to BU contacts/customers and to deliver error free process

Building supportive relationships with peers and colleagues including BU/function country controllers/Leaders

Lead and/or participate in RTR specific special projects to drive efficiency

Handling ad-hoc requests on a timely manner

The role holder must comply with all the Quality Management System (QMS), Business Continuity Planning and COSO requirements and guidelines of the organization.

This role will report to the Manager - Record to Report Operations, Finance Shared Services in Bangalore, India

Responsibility/Duty Percentage

Manage Record to Report operations supervisory responsibilities for processing journal entries, process intecompany transactions, handle fixed assets accounting and close process activities, reconciliations, reporting, tax accounting etc. Handle Cartesis upload and reporting as IC and also review second level Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Responsible for managing the daily/weekly/monthly activities for the team and meeting the defined SLAs, Ability to handle BU/function specific emergency requests (eg. Journal Entry processing), Handle escalations and RTR reporting including metrics/SLA reporting, Respond to BU contacts/customers and to deliver error free process, Building supportive relationships with peers and colleagues including BU/function country controllers/Leaders, Lead and/or participate in RTR specific special projects to drive efficiency, Handling ad-hoc requests on a timely manner 50%

Handle people management responsibilities including coaching and guiding team members, work on their goal plans and continuous development 20%

Ensure new business migration activities/processes are executed efficiently and effectively with appropriate training, documentation and controls 15%

Build and maintain relationships with BU partners. Participate in any special projects 10%

Participate and conduct COSO and other Finance job family trainings 5%

Qualifications

Essential Functions/Requirements

Knowledge and experience of handling Record to Report process operations in shared services or in an outsourcing organization

Possess valid passport for travel

Ability to document effectively and communicate with cross-border colleagues/customers

Education, Experience

B.Com/ BBA/ M.Com (Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration or Masters in Commerce) or Chartered/Cost Accountant (CA/ICWA) with 3+ years of relevant experience

Experience

5 - 8 years of experience (B.Com/BBA/M.Com) in finance operation with good expertise in Record to Report and related Finance processes. For CA/ICWA, 3 - 5 years of relevant experience

Prior experience of managing a team with people management responsibilities

Prior experience of doing onsite migration and experience in creation of effective desktop procedures/standard operating procedures

Experience of working in shared service operations would be preferre

Self-starter with excellent MS-office skills

Strong team player and ability to handle tasks under pressure and in a timely manner with required quality

Skills (applied knowledge and technical skills directly related to this position)

End to end process knowledge on RTR

Working Knowledge of ERP (JDE) would be preferred

Flexible to work in any shifts

Superior Team management and supervisory skills

To demonstrate analytical skills

Advanced working knowledge of MS_Office (Word / Excel/ Powerpoint)

Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills
