The Logistics Finance Initiative leader will drive logistics finance centralization and simplification efforts across GEHC including management of the CoE process excellence Genpact team. The role will work closely with the Global Logistics Initiatives Manager and the rest of the GEHC Logistics Finance team driving process definition, standardization and centralization within the CoE team.

Essential Responsibilities
• Drive timely execution in the transfer and centralization of Logistics finance processes from manufacturing, distribution and service finance teams. Directly own the following processes post transition: closing, transportation accruals (MJEs & Acc Recs), estimates, Freight Audit reconciliation & MOH rate updates.
• Defines and documents globally applicable Logistics Finance SOPs to drive simplification and scalability
• Supports broader GEHC initiatives relevant to Logistics processes including OTR/last mile alignment, Warehousing, Full Cost Standards, freight payment/audit, oracle transportation management (OTM) and other IT initiatives
• Drives logistics accounting harmonization across GE Healthcare. This includes proper account mapping of all logistics accounts (inbound & outbound transportation, customs & duties, packaging and warehousing). It also includes proper accounting treatment for capitalization versus expensing (Material Overhead rates) and base versus variable dynamics/guidance.
• Work closely with the Global Logistics Initiatives Manager to drive change management across the business regarding centralization and simplification initiatives including presentations to leadership and business partners
• Manage and lead a team of COE resources to execute logistics finance processes consistent with policies and SOP’s
• Manage the relationship with the service providers and ensure billing, productivity and SOW commitments are met. Define, implement and report CoE service level metrics. Review results with logistics finance team quarterly for feedback. Drive process improvement opportunities
Qualifications/Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and minimum of six years of financial work experience
2. Chartered accountant or Cost Accountant or equivalent professional designation.
3. Demonstrate strong managerial experience in leading & coaching team
4. Experience developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews
5. Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
6. Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance function; able to quickly grasp new ideas
7. Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to clearly communicate complex financial information in an easy to understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in writing
8. Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications (i.e.: Oracle, SAP, COGNOS, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup, and Macros)
9. Confidence / Assertiveness: possess influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives
10. Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
11. Fluency in English
