| The Capital entity accountant owns the US-GAAP and local statutory general ledger close process for one or more APJC Capital entities. The accountant prepares schedules to support Cisco's consolidated Close Book preparation and SEC disclosures; oversees business control processes; and works closely with Tax, Legal and Cisco Accounting business partners to support each entity's statutory, direct and indirect tax filings and audits. S/he will help drive the APJC accounting implementation of Project Connect - Cisco Capital's new Lease Administration/Sub-ledger tool. The accountant will become a lease and loan accounting subject matter expert, who will consult with Capital business partners along with the Capital Accounting central team on the appropriate accounting policy and operational processes for non-standard deals and new business models in their entities. Required Skills: US-GAAP and Statutory accounting experience, preferably in a complex multiple-entity environment (Lease accounting experience a plus) 7+ years of experience Strong technical accounting knowledge (Chartered accountant a plus) Business influencing and communication skills Tool implementation and process development/improvement experience |
