Description
- Checking the accuracy of the CPA report and maintaining NIL PI on erroneous discrepancy being highlighted
- Ensuring that the changes in CIPP/KYC/AML requirements are communicated to the CPA and adhered in the review process by making necessary changes in the checklist maintained in EUC
- Appropriate changes to be made in DVU process bulletin and checklist as per the business requirements and enquired approvals are in place for the changes done
- Providing training to CPA/operations team/front end on the documents requirements on a monthly basis to reduce the discrepancies
- Ensure that the CPA report is submitted to concurrent auditor on time, clarifications provided and the quarterly report is received on time from the conc auditors
- All discrepancies identified in Day 2 review & Signature review are actioned upon by operations within the agreed TAT
- Circulating the monthly trend analysis on the conc audit report, Day 2 review report, signature review reports across different parameters to the seniors
- Monthly update to Business heads on the outstanding discrepancies for faster turnaround/reduction of discrepancies
- Ensure changes in EUC's are made as per requirements and UAT's done
- Maintain daily data backup of review done by CPA as an audit trail for any subsequent audits
- Introduction of Monthly Trend analysis across different parameters to seniors on all the audit reports - KYC, NON KYC, Day 2 review report and sign review reports
- Complete automation of the review activities - checklist/forms tracking/MIS to enhance the effectiveness of the process
- Monthly update to business heads on the outstanding discrepancies in an effort to reduce the TAT for resolution
- Coordination for the weekly independent review by the concurrent auditors - submission of samples/clarifications, etc. -earlier this activity was done on a monthly basis
Qualifications
- Prior knowledge / experience in the Operations function will be preferred
- Should be a qualified chartered accountant, preferably in first attempt
- Up to 3 years experience, preferably in banking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is expected
- Required skills include superior problem solving ability, teamwork, quantitative aptitude and excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize and communicate complex issues
- The successful candidate will demonstrate aptitude in communicating with senior management, intellectual curiosity and a strong commitment to excellence
- Ability to multitask and execute tasks in line with priorities and dependencies in a timely manner
- Ability to build rapport with key business partners and interface with businesses/functions across sectors to be able to assist with the implementation of change in a collaborative manner
