Job Description

This position will report to AEIPL Controller. Key responsibilities include: • Control over the accuracy and content of the financial records and statements • Maintain local statutory / regulatory reporting through accurate and timely delivery of local reports including reviewing reports for External Reporting. • Ensure accurate reporting of all unusual and issues in a timely manner and in accordance with internal policy and Local/US GAAP accounting rules. • Support timely & accurate submission of Quarterly/ Annual reports to External reporting group, including account attestation process • Support and drive closure of Internal and External Audit of Local as well as US GAAP books • Legal Entity P&L / Balance sheet reviews and review of US GAAP to legal Entity accounts reconciliation. • Awareness of the importance of maintaining a strong control environment • Maintain a close working relationship with other Controllership teams and assist them as a flexible resource on high priority projects • Evaluate current processes and recommend process improvement and process efficiencies. • Provide leadership to direct report/s including recruitment, coaching and development to ensure retention of talent. 
This role may be subject to additional background verification checks. 

Qualifications

The incumbent should either be CPA or Chartered Accountant with minimum 6 years of relevant post qualification experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have good industry experience or have worked with reputed Accounting firm. The candidate for this position should, among others, possess and exhibit the following skills: • Strong technical accounting background (US GAAP & India GAAP), including understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (Taxation, EOU/STP) • Good understanding of AXP Finance processes, including knowledge of accounting report lines, hierarchy and consolidation • Excellent strategic thought leadership skills and the ability to think creatively. Strong financial, analytical and problem solving skills. • Ability to manage and prioritize across multiple projects and issues and drive results within critical deadlines. • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity, initiative and strong work ethics are essential • High integrity and a control mindset • A proactive team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
