From expanding overseas to managing the cash and trade flows of an established enterprise, the Business Banking team of Relationship Managers and Product Specialists provides a range of end-to end solutions designed to help small and large businesses reach their potential. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Business Banking team.
Principal Responsibilities
The job will require giving service support and providing effective and fast delivery of operational support to Business Banking RMs in the review and CARM processes and to act as a backup for RMs.
· Assisting in the set-up of HSBC system for new customers coming on board and ensuring credit worthiness by conducting proper due diligence. Due Diligence to include market feedback by way of reference checks from banks and third parties
· By being actively involved in structuring of credit facilities and subsequent reviews to provide financial solutions to customers’ requirements balancing the Bank’s credit and risk criteria.
· By proactively managing the Business Banking review process which will include the procurement and analysis of all information required for annual review, e.g. financial statements, bank throughputs
· By completing new business, amendment, cancellation and review CARMs and credit submissions as required and maintaining highest quality of CARMs with detailed assessment of risks and mitigants
· To work closely with various HSBC product teams so as to ensure that requests from these teams for facility limits are actioned promptly and within mutually agreed deadlines
· To effectively meet day to day requirements of customers of portfolio and to liaise with operational teams such as credit operations, Trade operations and PCM operations to ensure that transactions are satisfactorily completed while ensuring that the Bank holds security as per credit approvals.
Maintain and ensure due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators. Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy. Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with HSBCs policies.
