Job Description
This is a Assistant Manager position in External Reporting India, reporting to Service deliveryleader, Chart of Accounts (CoA) Governance, and Financial Review & Analysis. The position is responsible for: • Supporting design, development and implementation of a governance structure and framework for the CoA, including roll out of a COA protocol and related trainings including execution of Centralized oversight, policy, protocols and ownership • Ensure consistentusage through the ongoing governance and monitoring. • Support execution of strategy for optimizing the usage of each segment of Chart of Accounts code block to better align with American Express reporting requirements and to reduce the volume of manual adjustments through, • Prioritizing focus areas for defining and standardizing usage • Developing a more efficient use of code blocks of AXP’s ‘Chart of Accounts’ (CoA) • Integrating CoA changes with both Sub Ledger processes / Sub Ledger implementations • Supporting the design andexecution of an MJE protocol for ADB reporting by utilization of the existing functionality within the Oracle general ledger (GL) • Identifying efficiencies and supporting linkages with other Controllership Big Bet projects • Working across finance leadership and coordinating with multiple business partners. •Support assigned global/regional initiatives from Reporting perspective • The incumbent will be expected to quickly gain detailed understanding of inputs,processes, controls, flows, metrics, risks, and outputs of various process areas

Qualifications
A CA with a minimum of 2-3 years experience • Should have problem solving, planning and analytical skills tofacilitate and focus on continuous improvement and innovation. • Must have goodcommunication and interpersonal skills and be able to interact independently with senior business partners / customers etc. • Must be proficient in MSApplications. • Familiarity with US GAAP and related financial accounting will be an advantage. • Should have strong result orientation, project management, collaboration and co-ordination abilities • Must have excellent communication, cross-cultural experience andinterpersonal skills of a high order and should be able to interact independently with senior business partners / customers etc. • Excellent Project Management skills and ability to drive execution and optimize resources
