Job Description
1. Quality credit submissions
Description:
Credit submissions - Ensure high quality & timely submission of BCA & credit notes
High quality independent credit analysis
Optimise portfolio risk/return
Effective client engagement for good understanding of Credit, product requirement & suitability etc to help in robust structuring of facility
Robust facility structuring appropriate to client & compliant with policy & regulation
Transparent disclosures
Quick turnaround on proposals
Effective use of workshopping
Effectively use external info including feedback from banks, suppliers, buyers, peers etc
Strong recognition of environmental issues as per Bank's sustainability agenda
High quality of presentation in Credit Committees
Should prioritise BCA's to balance turnaround on new proposals & renewal/monitoring of existing facilities
Strong oversight on dissemination & understanding of policies, new regulations etc and develop industry/product expertise
Measures and Targets:
• Feedback from Credit Approvers on the quality of submissions

2. High standard of portfolio Monitoring
Description:
Ensure high standards of governance and monitoring in the portfolio including
• Efficient tracking of CaRTs
• Timely and quality QPRs
• Early recognition of any credit deterioration and flagging off EAs
• Timely and quality submission of EA updates
• Timely completion of EA conditions & ASTAR
• Updation of MTM in the portfolio
• No adverse comment from GIA / LRM /CA / RBI
• Monitoring UFCE, TM, etc and escalating issues if any
• Monitoring excess and past dues in the portfolio and escalating issues if any
• Monitoring timely stock inspection and factory inspection
• Make regular client visits and update the discussions through RM Workbench

• NIL overdue in QPR
• No downgrade to GSAM without the account being in EAR

Description:
• Regulators: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory/central bank and bank's own policies
• Should play an active role in the implementation of policy/regulatory changes
• Should constantly review and update the processes in the light of changing regulatory requirements / policies
• Social Legitimacy: Ensure that all transactions are in line with the bank's sustainability agenda

Key Roles & Responsibilities
Credit Analysis
• Understand client requirements, gather data including from external sources, analyse the same and submit for Credit Risk approval
• Interact with the client, gather requirements, financial statements and other inputs for performing quality Credit analysis and due diligence. (for renewal and new BCAs)
• Gather inputs from reliable external sources on the Client/Industry etc and use them as effective tools for Credit Analysis
• Work with RM/product partners in structuring credit solutions for the clients and ensuring the appropriateness of the products. Work with the RM, in preparing & presenting work-shopping notes obtaining all pre clearances like ER negativity, segmentation, etc; and expediting approvals
• Responsible for end-to-end BCA process including preparing the Odyssey/Raptor deal model, Credit Scorecard, ESRA, Sanction Linkages, A&S etc, in-depth analysis of various risks, quality presentation and ensuring fast credit approval
• Ensure compliance of all internal and regulatory credit/other portfolio related policies e.g. preparing the BCA/ Regulatory checklist, other special reporting requirements, etc
• Optimise risk / return in portfolio
• Coordinate and prepare for CAC meetings
• Liaise with GAM Credit for limit approval/allocation.
• Seek necessary approvals for excesses in the account
• Should prioritise the BCAs thereby balancing the turnaround on new proposals and renewal/monitoring of existing facilities
• Should have a strong oversight on dissemination and understanding of policies, new regulations etc amongst the entire team
• Should play an active role in the implementation of policy/regulatory changes
• Should constantly review and update the processes in the light of changing regulatory requirements / policies
• Should develop industry / product expertise
Credit Monitoring
• Monitor quality of the portfolio by tracking Excess/past dues, strictly complying with ASTAR, EAR processes
• Ensure timely submission of quality Quarterly Credit/ Performance Reports
• Monitor Risk Triggers, Covenants and other credit conditions and report appropriately
• Ensure Zero BCA and CaRT over dues
• Liaise with Credit on BCA and other credit issues and ensure quick turnaround on queries
• Proper maintenance of Credit files and ensuring Audit Ready at any time
• Responding to Audit (GIA/LRM/CA/RBI etc) Ensuring completion of audit actionable on time
• Regularly track the MTM and escalate exceptions
• Attend EAR/Portfolio call/MTM calls along with the RMs
• Ensure timely identification of accounts to be put in EAR as per the bank's policies and guidelines
• Play an active role in managing the SMA accounts
• Track the performance of the client with other banks and report exceptions
• Track the Unhedged Foreign Currency Exposure (UFCE), analyse and report appropriately
• Track the Transaction Monitoring (currently for LC/MM/CTA), highlight exceptions and take necessary actions along with Credit. Ensure timeliness and quality of stock inspections/factory inspections
Regular client visits and documenting the same
