Overall Job Purpose
The key objective of this role is to support Citi’s governance of key offshore supplier partners by providing direct oversight of the supplier’s service delivery, risk, control & compliance environment, manage supplier relationships effectively, develop & execute strategic and operational plans for managing this function across multiple sites, in line with the overall Citi ICG Investor Services Operations offshore service delivery strategy.
This role reports into SVP and Head – India Offshore Supplier Governance & Relationship, Investor Services Operations, and is based in Chennai.
Responsibilities:
- Supplier Governance & related activities - the incumbent would be responsible for helping to operationalize the supplier and service management strategy and governance framework by:
- Participating in governance/toll gate forums set-up either by business, governance teams or supplier partner to ensure an effective oversight and control environment in line with supplier contracts/terms and conditions
- Tracking of actions from these governance meetings and follow-ups with leadership and operational teams and forums to ensure appropriate closure along with evidencing and record keeping of the supporting documents
- Engaging in analytical interpretation of supplier MI & reports regarding headcount, KPI, attrition, billing, etc. and/or creating new MI/consolidating MI as required
- Ensuring the currency of Citi-TCS contractual documents pertaining to SFS Ops; tracking of closure of pending CRs & SOWs
- Maintaining a calendar of due diligence or relationship visits by Citi management and providing support for such visits, action tracking & ensuring completion of post visit deliverables, including maintenance of an updated visitor repository
- Audit, Risk & Compliance:
- Assisting with preparation for various kinds of audits – regulatory audits, internal & SOC1 audits, due diligence reviews, etc. and providing CAP action tracking support
- Working with supplier to implement contingency plans approved by Citi and tracking of periodic COB testing
- Maintaining an updated COB Dashboard
- Coordinating the Citi TPISA process and providing CAP action tracking support
- Facilitating vendor control self assessment meetings, providing CAP action tracking support, and providing analytical inputs with regard to the effectiveness of these vendor self assessments
- Tracking of operational errors & losses, reviewing and analyzing incident reports, and ensuring the implementation of corrective action plans/remediating controls
- Maintaining an updated KRI dashboard for the supplier; action tracking & follow-up
- Overseeing EUC testing results and following up in case of issues; maintaining an updated EUC repository
- Issuing supplier guidance notes/bulletins prescribing procedures w.r.t. key controls, as required
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Managing and facilitating supplier service relationships with Citi in operational matters including transformation and productivity improvement initiatives taken by the supplier
- Tracking and facilitating resolution of delays in supplier invoice payments and timely closure of contractual documents

Qualifications
Candidate Specifications
Skills:
- Strong analytical aptitude and logical reasoning ability
- Ability to read and interpret contractual documents and understand concepts like SOWs, SLAs, service credits/debits, etc.
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Strong process/project management skill
- MI & reporting tools and applications
- Familiarity with technology environment in banking and financial services organisations
Knowledge and Expertise:
- 8 - 10 years experience in financial services industry, especially in the areas of securities & fund services operations
- Prior experience in supplier service management/supplier relationship in reputed financial services organisation, including exposure to the areas of contract management, service management, operational risk, information security and COB risks
- Experience in leading multiple teams delivering on key business initiatives
Education:
- Master's degree in business administration or commerce/CA/ICWA, etc.
