Reporting Manager: Kirti Tuli – Vice President, Finance BP&A - IBD and UKRBB
The IBD finance team provides product, sector, country and banker performance reporting to the IBD management teams globally. Work closely with the Mergers and Acquisitions, Corp Finance Coverage and Global Finance & Risk solutions front office teams, Product Control, Sales Finance and Portfolio Management teams to ensure appropriate capture of Client Revenues, Costs and Capital to facilitate accurate and insightful business performance reporting.
The job holder: Protect the integrity of the IBD Revenues booked by understanding business centric practices and processes, and remediate any issues on a timely fashion. Ensure process and controls are implemented effectively and the risks are mitigated. Continually drive the efficiencies and improvement agenda through identification of systemic issues requiring coordination with our technology partners, or designing appropriate training related material to facilitate proper trade booking protocol and procedures. Develop and build a strong partnership with the businesses globally and provide end-to-end advice on IBD revenue related matters.
As an Analyst – IBD Finance, your responsibilities will include:
§ Be the primary contact for IBD revenue recognition queries ensuring resolution within agreed service levels.
§ Communicate and escalate run-the-bank issues arising from queries
§ Be able to work independently with tech and other support groups where necessary for issues resolution.
§ Perform meaningful analysis on reports and provide insightful commentary that can be translated into robust/effective remediation plans/effort.
§ Ensure that reports are clearly communicated through appropriate channels (eg COOs, IBD Finance management etc)
§ Participate in UAT and drive relevant systemic fixes.
§ Document any changes to process flows and be the SME on new development initiatives.
§ Play an active role in identifying opportunities for process improvements to drive efficiencies and tightening of the control environment.
We expect you to bring the following:
§ Securities and capital markets desirable.
§ Strong on control awareness. A confident and articulate self-starter with the ability to cope with the demands of working to tight deadlines.
§ Keen analytical skills and the ability to challenge current processes and develop effective alternate solutions.
Preferred:
§ Investment Banking or Product Control experience desirable.
You must meet the following eligibility criteria:
University degree or equivalent, qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA)
3-4 years of relevant experience in Investment Banking or equivalent
Completed 12 months in your current role as a BA4 or Completed 18 months in your current role as a BA3
Exceptional, Exceed Expectations & Fully meet expectation in Last year PD rating
Should not be on active CAP/DAP as on September 03, 2014
