Monitoring and Control (M&C) is a post sanction credit process in Middle Office for corporate customers only.

The overall purpose for this role A member of Middle Office responsible for supporting nominated RDs who are developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of Larger Corporate customers. Analytical Specialist dealing with a range of financial information for a number of Industry and Regional portfolios.

Provide high-quality financial analysis support to RDs, acting as an interface with other areas of Barclays Corporate and undertaking the monitoring of customers financials. Responsible for reviewing and agreeing the Monitoring and Control elements of complex Facility Letter documentation.

Working in partnership with the Credit Writing and Post Sanction Case managers, Coverage team, servicing team and other specialists to ensure that we provide a joined up service to our customers at all times.

As a Credit Analyst - Monitoring and Control, Middle Office, your responsibilities will include: 
  • Own the day-to-day processing of financial information for a number of large corporate customers
  • Act as liaison for review of customers financials with RDs, RSMs, Credit and other relevant stakeholders
  • Use Zeus to analyse historic and projected financial information to identify key issues and monitor compliance with covenants and terms prior to discussing with Relationship Director
  • Responsible for ensuring Regulatory and Internal procedures are followed for Monitoring and Control criteria.
  • Responsible for collating and managing customer produced financial information and input on Zeus or co-ordinate input by Remote Input Area.
  • Use knowledge of monitoring and control procedures to make recommendations to RD on protecting the Group from losses and managing high value facility risk
  • Take ownership of urgent credit related matters such as reporting late management information and breaches

We expect you to bring the following: 
  • CA/CFA/FRM or Post-graduate or MBA
  • Strong financial statements analysis skills
  • Prior experience in analysing management information, unaudited and audited accounts
  • Ability to take complete ownership of work and work with minimum supervision
  • Aptitude to work in a dynamic business environment, periodically requiring tight deadlines and aggressive turn-around time
  • Flexible with working in shifts
