Position Description The applicant will: • Assist in performing internal audits in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region evaluating the adequacy of controls for AIG Property Casualty business units and/or key business processes. • Meet with senior management at the beginning of each assignment to review and discuss key management reports to gain an understanding of the main features of the local business, products and systems. • Assist the audit manager and/or audit senior in the development of and an audit strategy and plan to ensure all key business risks and controls are evaluated. • Perform tests to assess adequacy and compliance with procedures. • Document control weaknesses and deficiencies and define recommendations for risk mitigation and improvement. • Assist in regular progress meetings & exit meetings with Local Senior Management. • Follow up of prior audit work to ensure new controls are in place and working as intended. • As a global resource, participate in audit assignments as required in any location. Auditors may be required to travel up to 40% of the working year. #L1-RS1 Position Requirements • Typically, candidates are newly or recently qualified and have trained in a large multinational, financial services or Big 4 firm with 3 to 5 years of audit experience in total. • Professional designations/certifications, such as Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, etc, are preferred. • A general knowledge of and experience in AIG operations (e.g. underwriting, claims, finance, etc.) or comparable industry experience is preferred. • Language skills, such as French, Spanish or German, are a bonus. • Excellent communication skills. #L1-RS1 About Us American International Group, Inc.
