CA Fresher/ Experienced required at Appiro as Senior Accountant
Job Description
Appirio India is looking for a talented Senior Chartered Accountant having excellent technical accounting, communication, analytical and presentation skills. This position will actively participate in month-end closing activities including revenue recognition, preparation and recording of operating expense, payroll, tax and accrual journal entries and reconciling various accounts within the general ledger. This position will have various annual, quarterly and month-end close and review responsibilities, including preparation of annual financial statement audit schedules. The position will apply US-GAAP to achieve these responsibilities. The candidate for this job will be a CA with post articleship experience of 4-6 years.
Responsibilities
- Payroll Accounting & Expense Reimbursement
- TDS Calculation for the company employees
- PF & Gratuity Calculation, Actuarial Work and Compliance
- Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance in accordance to SEZ Regulations
- Approval of periodical returns (Service Tax, TDS) of the company on monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
- Responsible for Advance Tax Calculation
- Transfer pricing compliance
- Preparation of details for the consolidation of accounts
- Filing of Income tax return of the company as well on annual basis
- Verifying Payment details & TDS Calculations
- Generating MIS reports of P&L on monthly basis
- Statement of Accounts Maintenance (General Ledger, Trial Balance, P&L, Journal Entries, Finalization of Accounts) for month end, quarter end and year end close
- Review and communicate financial results to headquarters in the US in support of accounting close. Prepare management reports including analysis and metrics.
- Coordinating with auditors the statutory auditor certificate on a quarterly basis.
- TDS, Sales Tax and Sales Tax Return
- Preparation of final accounts of the Company and get them audited
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure effective internal controls over financial accounting and reporting
- Assist in development of process improvement and documentation
- Other special projects as required
Desired Skills & Experience
- Exceptional technical and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- 4 year Bachelor’s degree in Business and/or Accounting
- Licensed Chartered Accountant
- Outstanding accuracy and attention to detail
- Extensive experience in monthly close process applying US GAAP requirements and accrual accounting. Demonstrated ability in performing balance sheet and P&L account analysis and reconciliations
- Strong Excel skills required
- Experience in a technology service environment a plus
- Ability to research and resolve technical accounting issues
- Ability to work under pressure
- Flexibility to adapt in an evolving business environment
- Positive and “hands on” attitude required
- Familiarity with Workday Financial and processing payroll via ADP a plus
