Job Description
- Management and workout of CG 12-14 accounts and any other accounts under GSAM management.
- Minimise losses/provisions and  maximize recoveries / revenues from the accounts assigned in the GSAM portfolio.
- Reducing and improving the bank’s high risk exposures through exit of non core accounts.
-Continually improving standards of risk management, maintaining a higher quality of lending, ensuring an enhanced return on assets and exploiting profit opportunities for recoveries out of provisions and IIS
- Coordinating, driving and directing effective compliance and operational risk management at the Business Unit level.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate /analyse accounts to identify problems, formulate options available, make recommendations and implement a/c strategies.  All plans should preserve the value of collateral and avert further downside risks.
-Review credit files, financials and security documentation to identify causes of problems and current status.
-Proactively monitor progress of strategies and plans, and ensure timely adjustment to changing circumstances.
-Restructure irregular lines into bankable structures within the scope of an overall exit plan to expedite recoveries, minimize losses and maximize interest and incidental revenues from work outs.
-Control operations across designated accounts to ensure compliance with agreements, regulations etc. Preparation (timelines and accuracy) of all internal and external reports.  Liaise with operational departments – CRC/Operations/Trade Finance and other institutions, legal advisors, accountants, other banks in the pursuit or recoveries.
-Ensure high quality , updated and accurate database for all designated accounts in the portfolio. 
-Seek market information to identify proactively industry problems, negative trends, potentially problem relationships including operational risk, reputational risk, event risk, etc. within Wholesale Bank/SME business in country and bring to the attention of AH, GSAM any risks that are not being properly managed/need attention.
-Active Participation and  contribution at EAR, RCIF meetings and other similar forums.
-Ensure full awareness of all the policies and procedures, internal/external including money laundering and prevention. Ensure compliance with these policies and procedures on an ongoing basis.
-Ensure effective compliance and operational risk management at the Business Unit Level.
Qualifications & Skills
-CA/MBA with at least 8-10 years commercial banking experience, with a track record of demonstrating a high order of analytical and structuring ability.
-The ability to engage, maintain, build and command working relationships with peers and seniors that are based on professional and personal respect.
-The moral courage to take tough decisions and defend them, whether with business or within the risk chain.
-The ability to adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment and to act with a high degree of autonomy.
-High energy levels.
