Purpose of Department
Supporting GRCA Reporting team in preparation of IFRS reporting schedules. The person will be involved in project implementation, team handling and a contributor and will be involved in the preparation of GRCA & projects related to GRCA. Interpret IFRS rules and apply in preparation of GRCA reporting schedules and related disclosures The processes require sound understanding of IFRS provisions. Professionals may also be required to take the lead and work on high end systems and various accounting software applications, to deliver reporting and reconciliations.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Manager - Finance Operations - HSBC Technology and Services, GSD. In this role, you will:
Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder’s abilities)
· Co-ordination with business area and across business partners – strong inter personal skills
· Strong Analytical Skills
· Good Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
· Strong systems knowledge
· Decent understanding of GRCA
Qualifications
· Post qualification(Chartered Accountant) experience of 5-7 years in Finance and Accounting
· Prior GRCA Reporting experience preferable
· Ability to understand numbers and their impact drive and achieve accuracies across report deliveries
· Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word), Brio, Hub, Saracen and Hyperion
· Excellent Communication skills – Both verbal and written
· Good analytical skills , an eye for detail and a drive for quality ,statistical skills to study trends, understand and to interpret Numeric information
· Lean Training will be an extra advantage.
· Knowledge of, and experience in planning and organizing techniques as well as in problem solving techniques
· Self-driven
· Flexibility to work in accordance with Business requirements
· Ability to build rapport with and relate to a wide range of people
· Should be open to shifts and willing to work overtime as per the process requirements
