Job Description

This position will be part of the Credco Reporting and Controls team and will be responsible for both reporting and control responsibilities, including: • Understanding and mapping processes from data source to external reporting filing and defining risks, controls, and tests to ensure adequate internal controls over financial reporting • Acting as a consultant with data owners throughout the organization to support the creation of effective controls • Executing risk and control assessment periodically, test effectiveness of financial reporting controls, support remediation of control gaps as necessary • Develop and deliver ICFR training as required • Liaise with auditors and others as directed by management • Drive maximum efficiency and effectiveness of risk and control activities (i.e. maximum control for most efficient cost) • Supporting the preparation and review of external reporting documents including 10-Q, 10-K, Annual Report of American Express Credit Corporation and Bank Holding Company regulation reporting • Assisting with determining the implications of new accounting standards on the Company and assist with associated implementation projects • Preparing and analyzing schedules to support the preparation of external reporting documents, including Financial Analytics Book supporting schedules • Preparing reporting submission forms for Credco and its subsidiaries • Working in a fast-paced environment with significant deadlines • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• 2-4 years Finance or Accounting degree • CA/CPA preferred • Experience in a sophisticated accounting and financial reporting environment • Strong work ethics, self-motivated and dependable • US GAAP knowledge in the areas of Financial Instruments, Derivatives, Investments and Currency Translation a plus • Excellent collaborative and relationship building experience • Excellent communication and organizational skills
