Purpose of Department

 The primary role of the FTP Financial Systems & Projects department is to provide project management and business analysis resource for financial systems and process projects. This includes:
Direct management of FTP  Finance supporting and tactical initiatives including process re-engineering, source system support and developments, managing short term implementation schedules and ‘end user computing’ developments.
Co-ordination of projects to ensure consistency and awareness with FTP Finance strategy and standards.
The jobholder is responsible for the delivery and continued support of cost-effective systems and process improvements, within defined project terms of reference. Key relationships are with Finance managers and staff, who are the ultimate end users of the financial accounting, management information or consolidation systems, and with IT and external suppliers.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join this team in the role of Manager - Finance Operations - HSBC Technology and Services, GSD. In this role, you will:  
·         Effective communication with various stakeholders, regional Fin Ops, Fin Sys, and IT leads.
·         Working closely with various sites to ensure standardization of various fin ops processes.
·         Experience of working within at least two of the following areas: programme support, testing analysis / execution, business and / or system process analysis within Finance
·         Will be responsible for finding linkages between processes and various SOPs, which require studying all the current SOPs, brainstorm with team members and update SOPs on regular basis.
·         Must exhibit extremely professional demeanor and must be comfortable working with all members of the team including senior management
·         Coordinate in Business Transition for various sites during migration.
·         Must have excellent attention to detail, be able to work within tight deadlines and within high pressure environments
·         Also provide guidance and strategy to GFC senior management and Fin Sys senior management.

Qualifications


·         Qualified Accountant with around 7/8 years of post-qualification experience (out of which at least 3/4 years of banking/financial institution experience preferred).
·         Expert knowledge of GL or MI systems and related processes.
·         Experience in working with Financial Systems
·         Independent, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
·         Good communication and interpersonal skills.
·         Excellent time management skills and can meet tight deadline.
·         Excellent Team Leading skills and good client handling skills
·         Keen to learn and self-motivated; have a natural curiosity to probe and get to the bottom of issues.
·         Open to travel.
·         Working shift timing – 10:00pm-7:00pm
·         Chartered Accounting / Finance Post Graduate / 7-8 years
Should be willing to work in different shifts as per the process requirements. To start, working shift timing – 10:00pm-7:00pm
·         Prior team leading experience would be an added advantage
