The Position

 

• You will implement the organisation's tax strategy to optimise the amount of tax the company pays and ensure it complies with all relevant local and international tax laws and regulations.
• You will direct a variety of tax-related activities in accordance with the overall tax strategy to ensure that the organisation meets its tax obligations and objectives. These activities may include: tax planning; research; compliance; tax submissions, reporting and filings; auditing; and communicating with external tax agencies.
• You will evaluate the organisation’s current or proposed activities, policies, business practices, and transactions to ensure that they comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
• You will ensure that all tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports are submitted accurately and on time.
• You will advise senior management on tax matters and on the potential impact of current and future laws and regulations on the operation of the organisation.
• You will select, and manage ongoing relationships with, external consultants and advisors (for example tax advisors) to ensure the organisation receives satisfactory standards of service.
• You will lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of tax professionals to ensure that the organisation's tax strategy is implemented accurately and consistently and in compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and standards.

• You are a Chartered Accountant having 7-10 years experience with atleast 2-3 years in a managerial capacity.
• You have adept knowledge of the local laws with regards to taxation and expertise in handling tax matters.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• You possess excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes in the itnerest of the organisation.
• You have a drive for continuous improvement and have demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills as well as adaptability to different cultures
