CA/MBA/Graduate with at least 1-2 years experience in banking operations.
Responsibilities
Manage the day to day FX and Derivatives operations
Ensure the accuracy of the trades booked by the traders – verification & reconciliation and follow up with trader for changes in case of discrepancy
Execute Settlements for all the trades flowing into the system and liaise with local partners including the Middle Office, the Traders, the counterparties, etc. in case of any discrepancies, thereby ensuring no ledger-breaks post settlement
Timely Confirmation/Settlement of Foreign Exchange/Option trades as per the regulatory cut-offs
Maintain strong internal control and productivity standards
Be conversant with internal and external policy guidelines relating to products handled, promptly identify deviations and exceptions and resolve/escalate in a timely manner.
Participate in various process/productivity improvement initiatives and new products / system implementations
Responsible for the analysis and resolution of operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling
Participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes
Evaluate and mitigate operational risk
Interact with industry participants
This role typically requires experience in operations functions and a thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products
Requirements
Qualifications
CA/MBA/Graduate with at least 1-2 years experience in banking operations.
Skills
Sincere, bright, committed and keen to take on additional responsibility
Ability to communicate one’s point of view
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Strong PC skills
Ability to work against stiff deadlines and manage work pressure
Experience in back-office processes relating to FX and OTC Derivatives products would be an added advantage.
