Revenue MI team works closely with other Finance departments to provide timely, accurate and reliable revenue numbers, commentary on revenue drivers and analysis to Senior Management.
Barclays Investment Bank Revenue MI Reporting, covering Global and regional Revenue MI reports. The team are key members of change management for Finance projects and are the subject matter experts (SME) for the business hierarchy system (Chorus), Revenue reporting system (GMIS), Trader Flash as well as Book Static and ADB provisions reporting.
As an Analyst - Revenue MI, CIB- Finance, your responsibilities will include:
Becoming subject matter experts in key MI systems including GMIS, Chorus and front office system Trader Flash, thus ensuring integrity of data and product hierarchies. Act as advisor by providing guidance and propose issue resolutions for key MI systems.
Provide and assists both Finance and business in design and creating key revenue reporting to provide comprehensive revenue reporting.
Work closely with Product Control globally to ensure timely revenue reporting submissions, proper review and control to ensure accurate Barclays Investment Banking revenue and commentaries reported in the system.
Work closely with Product Control and Market Risk Team to ensure timely and accurate daily risk reporting and back testing. This will include resolving any difference, liaison to understand the drivers and suggesting appropriate solutions.
Own a number of key reporting processes and ensure that accurate and robust Barclays Investment Banking Revenue reports are delivered to Global and Asia Pacific Executive Committee (EXCO) members and Finance Senior Management Team on a timely basis. This includes daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Understanding of revenue drivers by performing analysis and detailed review and challenge on commentary and revenue drivers in order to provide accurate Barclays Investment Bank daily, weekly and monthly revenue reporting to Global and Asia Pacific Executive Committee (EXCO) and Senior Finance Management Team (SMT) members.
Participate and drive various projects including those initiated by Global Projects team. Understand the objectives of the project, assess the impact on all reporting for Finance (particularly FDS and Product Control), advise on risks and alternative solutions as appropriate.
Assist and propose solutions in dealing with adhoc requests/queries from Finance and Business senior management in a timely and effective manner
Assist in processing of requests raised for functionality and data group access for various systems and ensure appropriate access security over all revenue data and distribution Provision reporting - ensuring systems are reconciled and enriched, breaks are understood and appropriately resolved.
We expect you to bring the following:
§ MI reporting experience is a must
§ Finance/Accounting background is a must
§ Understand common/simple investment banking products
§ Strong IT skills - particularly Excel, knowledge on macro preferred
§ Experience in Business Object system is a plus
- Qualified accountant(CA, CPA, ACCA) with at least 3-5 years experience in accounting/Finance function. Preferably with past experience in a banking industry (not essential), Shared Services environment or multi-national company.
