Business Controller
Title : Business Controller for Ramboll Global Business Support.
Location : Mumbai, India
Reports to : Team Leader in India/Finance Manager – Global Business Support
Job Overview:
In order to increase the scalability and international presence of our team according to the overall Rambøll growth strategy, we are now setting up a satellite team in India for which we are looking for a Business Controller. The objectives of our Business Controller is to support global processes related to cost controlling and allocations in collaboration with colleagues located worldwide and as part of a team located in Denmark. The role entails both routine and development activities related to the controlling role to support the globalisation of Ramboll's support setup and good career opportunities both short and long term.
Main Job Responsibilities:
As Business Controller in the Global Business Support Team you will be challenged with the execution of following tasks:
- Contribute to the development of selected business unit Business Support.
- Assist management and project managers with financial management, and ensure that project accounts, department accounts and division accounts are true and accurate.
- Function as a sparring partner for the management on themes related to the strategy and the department's financial results.
- Prepare regular reports on the financial results to appointed management.
- Compile cost- and benchmarking analysis for the directors and the department managers on a need basis, for operational- and developmental use.
- Prepare budgets and forecast in agreement with the management.
- Assist in developing budget frameworks and allocation principles.
- Handle allocation of fixed and variable cost in several units globally
- Ensure that the necessary internal controls are performed to ensure accurate financial status, updated and accurate project status, sound risk assessment, minimization of tied-up capital and sound cost control.
Qualification and Experience required:
- Chartered Accountant
- 4-6 years post qualification working experience as Business Controller from either working in a local or central finance department of a global company
- Insight in cost controlling, support functions, allocation keys, KPIs, spend reporting and intercompany principles.
- Experience with procurement and IT cost controlling would be an advantage.
- High analytical capabilities and excellent problem solving skills
- Capability to work hands-on with high drive and think independently
- Engagement for a rolewhere taking responsibility and accountability is key.
- Experience in the usage of a global ERP system.
- IT savvy (in Microsoft applications as well as general application usage)
- Good listening skills & ability to communicate clearly and fluently in English.
- Strong team player with a constructive perspective and commitment to the success of the business.
- Good organisational understanding and ability to engage in dialogue with stakeholders
