The Sr Accountant develops, implements and/or maintains one or a combination of general accounting systems. Prepares journal entries, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Performs accounts payable duties. Balances books periodically and prepares profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements. Monthly intercompany billing, payable and receivable along with reconciliation. Employee expenses and travel reimbursements, communication to employees. End to end monthly payroll processing including communications, presentation to employees and employee query handling. Preparation of monthly reconciliations and MIS for review along with cost variance analysis.
May assist in preparation of prepare federal, state and local reports and tax returns pertaining to VAT, Service Tax, Corporate Tax etc. Ensuring statutory compliances and payment within due dates. Ensuring smooth month end activities against checklist. Fixed Asset Register: Accounting, Reconciliation & Preparation of register for statutory Audit. Preparation of monthly Softex Invoices & providing data for STPI returns. Assisting in preparation of transfer pricing documentation. Handling of RBI ECB compliance and project Capex tracking and reporting will be an added advantage. May interpret reports and records for managers.
Skills/Experience: Requires Bcom/Mcom/CA Inter/ICWAI Inter degree or equivalent with 7 or more years of related experience. The ideal individual must have proven ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment. Self-motivated and self-directed, however, must have demonstrated ability to work well with people. A proven desire to work as a team member, both on the same team and outside of the team. Ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Knowledge of SAP is added strength. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
