Overall Job Purpose

§  To coordinate and manage strategic change initiatives across multiple countries for Barclays Africa business as part of change delivery team.
§  To drive strategic initiatives & projects across all countries resulting in enhanced customer experience, higher employee productivity and significant cost saves.
§  To deliver improvement in Premier Banking Operations, Cards Operations, Business Banking and Corporate Banking Operations to our chosen market segment.
§  To coordinate with countries, technology and business team on delivery of change initiatives running across Barclays Africa.
§  Ensure all Governance / Control requirements for change delivery projects are met and delivered.
§  To provide clear, regular comprehensive reporting on change initiatives running across Barclays Africa.
§  Coordinate that all New Product & Process Approvals go through due diligence process prior to approval and sign-off.
§  Represent Change team in calls and conferences on strategic change initiatives for Barclays Africa business.
§  Conducts analysis of business volumes, transactions, systems and processes to determine financial and qualitative benefits to be realised by the business for inclusion in business cases that underpin change initiatives.

Key Accountabilities
Drive New Change Initiatives and Business Process Improvement (40%)

§  Support management in the design, planning  and launch of all strategic initiatives  and projects  across  Barclays Africa
§  Assist in the launch of Premier Banking, Cards and Business / Corporate  banking verticals in Africa through streamlining processes.
§  Support new products and services roll out for Barclays Africa Business
§  Co-ordinate with the Business functions in Countries to identify key opportunities in Business Banking, Cards, Assets, Premier banking.
§  Identify process improvement opportunities across all work streams and across all countries and look at potential areas for re-engineering and enhancements resulting in lower cost of operations and higher productivity.
§  Promote the delivery of an excellent and consistent service and sales experience for customers by analyzing and challenging current state and plan strategies for process improvement.
§  Monitor and update project progress as per timelines, deliverables, finance and risks.
§  Assist in building and coordination of project implementation strategy and its execution in target countries.
§  Drive process and product standardisation across all markets in Barclays Africa.
§  Identifies variables and develops financial models to scope potential benefits in support of business case development.
§  Supports the business in the development of OLIs through analysis of projected improvements to be delivered by change implementation.
Coordinate delivery of Strategic Initiatives (30%)
§  Drive initiation, plan, execution and closure of projects across all change initiatives running across Barclays Africa.
§  To coordinate with countries on various change delivery initiatives running across Barclays Africa.
§  To coordinate with technology and business team on delivery of change initiatives running across Barclays Africa.
§  Work with countries to ensure continuous improvement in operational processes resulting in higher efficiency and control.
§  Ensuring standardization of processes for Barclays Africa across various work streams.
§  Roll-out and embed standard set of policies and procedures across all countries.
§  Develop and standardize the reporting and monitoring tool for consumer operations.
§  Represent Change team in calls and conferences on multi country strategic change initiatives for Barclays Africa business.
§  Assist in the collation of hardware requirements from countries to support the sourcing and procurement process.
Coordinate Governance Procedures and Processes for Change Delivery (30%)
§  Ensure Governance / Control requirements for change delivery projects are met and delivered.
§  Ensure all New Product & Process Approvals go through thorough due diligence process prior to approvals and sign-off.
§  Coordinate and Conduct pulse checks such as NPA , ORA, SOX , IRM etc. relevant to project delivery.
§  Prepare and publish performance and status reports/ dashboards across multi country strategic change initiatives for Barclays Africa business.
§  Maintain requisite documentation relevant to project delivery.
§  Ensure transparency across all work streams relevant to project delivery.

Education
·          Chartered Accountant, Master of Business Administration or Post Graduation in any management discipline (marketing, operations etc.) from a reputed institute.
Experience
·          Experienced in Change / Transformation/ Project Delivery
·          4-5 years of experience in operations/ transformation domain with banking, telecom, or related industries.
