Business Analyst within the IT Finance team is responsible to provide day-to-day and month end support to the Finance/Accounting organization and to participate in the in the implementation of the prioritized finance projects relating to ERP as well as supporting company wide initiatives that have a finance element to them. You will work in partnership with other IT functions and the finance business community.

On a monthly basis work will be assigned based on prioritization from the Finance Roadmap.

  • Provide SAP FICO day-to-day and month end support to Finance/Accounting organization
  • Perform or direct all necessary SAP FICO configuration required for productions support and the implement of approved projects and enhancements
  • Participate on project teams and contribute to functional requirements, testing, go-live support and user training activities
  • Collaborate with business partners and IT colleagues to assess requirements within the context of best practices and global model, and advise on optimal course of action/systems solutions
  • Identify cross functional dependencies/touch points between SAP FICO and other SAP modules or systems
  • Perform Financial master data setup, including cost centers, GL accounts, product hierarchy, etc., to ensure data integrity across the Global Finance Systems
  • Communicate system changes and issues to relevant stakeholders in IT and Business.

Minimum Qualifications (must have)
  • Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant or MBA Finance from a reputed university.
  • Minimum 4+ years of providing financial systems development and support, focused on supporting business analytics within an SAP environment.
  • Must have technical expertise in SAP FICO and a strong working knowledge in additional modules and systems interfaces in order to perform complex system configuration and issue resolution
  • Knowledge of accounting processes, preferably with prior work experience in an accounting organization

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of Help Desk system tools used to manage IT support tickets and change controls
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
  • Understanding of Life Tech business flows
Possess solid business acumen to understand the needs of Finance business partners
