Senior Manager FAAS EY - Bangalore, Karnataka

EY is a globally-integrated professional services organization that provides Assurance, Advisory, Tax and Transaction Services. The Assurance team at EY GTH is looking for a Senior who can manage a portfolio of clients and be responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per EY Global Standards for our Financial Accounting and Advisory Services (FAAS) team. Within EY's Assurance service line, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provide advisory services encompassing accounting and regulatory support on accounting change and special matters; accounting processes and controls support (remediation, long-term contract accounting and cost accounting); GAAP conversion and implementation; IPO and other public offering assistance; and transaction accounting and financial reporting assistance (purchase price allocation).



The Senior Manager will be responsible for working closely with FAAS Leadership, Partners, Senior Managers and Managers on client engagements across Americas and EMEIA. She/he will provide technical support, grow the GTH portfolio and coach GTH Managers.

The Senior Manager should have extensive experience in Financial Accounting Advisory Services. She/he is also expected to display a high level of technical knowledge in US GAAP and/or IFRS. While the Senior manager will be based out of our Gurgaon or Bangalore office, she/he will be required to travel to other countries (medium to long term) to lead client service teams.

Your client responsibilities

Manage quality of service delivery
Lead multiple client engagement teams and ensure exceptional quality service.

Act as a GTH subject matter resource for one or more FAAS solutions:

Financial Accounting and Reporting Excellence

Accounting Processes

Regulation, Governance and Financing

Audit remediation and readiness

Organizing and providing technical training

Addressing service delivery quality issues if and when they occur


•Conduct FAAS team performance reviews, serve as a positive leader and mentor, and contribute to the team performance
Identify development opportunities and training needs for high performing Managers

Actively support the Americas or EMEIA FAAS leadership both in terms of growth as well as quality initiatives

Enhance relationships with global teams and leverage connections to identify opportunities for work at the GTH



Will be responsible for managing and developing people.


Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA (US) or ACCA (UK)10-13 years (post qualification) in auditing or finance controllership roles including at least 5 years of Financial Accounting and Advisory experienceExpert Knowledge of IFRS/US/UK GAAP and International auditing standards.Expert Knowledge of Indian accounting and auditing standards.Extensive working experience in relation to the following services/solutions:
a) GAAP conversions and implementation of new accounting standards
b) Drafting and designing accounting policies
c) Technical accounting research and advice
d) Consolidation and Compilation support
e) Financial statement close process support
f) Transaction accounting and reporting – IPO’s , Carve Outs , PPA etc
g) Audit remediation and readiness
h) Benchmarking services and market analysis
i) Advanced data analytics (will be an added advantage)strong management skills to lead teams, delegate appropriately, mentor, review performance and counsel employeesstrong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skillsability and comfort level in researching client inquires and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologiesIndustry Sector specialization will be an added advantageInternational work experience will have added advantage
