POSITION SUMMARY:
Incumbent will be primarily responsible for preparing, sharing and analyzing the Key Account P&L on a monthly basis by Channel, By Customer and By product with the CCL team.
Additionally, he/she will be the single point contact for budgeting,tracking and controlling of CCIPL#s support on national key accounts to the bottlers.The role also involves frequent interactions with McDonalds and The McDonalds Division(TMD) within TCCC with respect to Global Pricing Protocol decisions, long-range business planning,introduction of new packs/products and other strategic initiatives,etc
There are essentially 4 channels under CCL - Modern Trade, Eating/Dining, Travel/Institutions & Entertainment. Key accounts represented approx 12% of overall India & South- West Asia BU volumes in 2013. Overall volume in 2013 was 92mm uc and is estimated to close at 107mm uc by the end of 2014.
Key Accounts volumes have grown exponentially at a CAGR of 56% in last 5 years(2008-13). Modern trade contributed over 50% of the volumes to the overall mix , growing at a CAGR of 46 % in last 3 years (2010-13). This rapid growth brings challenges around RGM, Customer Profitability, Channel Mix, etc, and the incumbent is expected totrack, prepare and analyze MIS on a timely basis for effective management
intervention.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
- Prepare, share and analyse Key Accounts P&L by channel, by customer and by product on a monthly basis
- Perform Financial Analysis and Budgeting for Customer & Commercial Leadership(CCL) team
- Support the CCL function in analyzing and identifying trends in brand/pack mix, pricing, discounting, accounting for spends, support on deals to
bottlers, approval of purchase orders, and accrual management
- Create and communicate management reports - Prepare financial reports such as annual budgets, monthly rolling estimates and track actuals
- Perform ad-hoc analysis and what if scenarios (for example Brand/pack/price/channel combinations,etc) based on requests from CCL team &
commercial finance director/VP-Finance
- Perform analysis of spends and initiatives and analysis of key customer pricing and profitability
- Support CCL team in determining division funding requests
and CCIPL impact of various key accounts initiatives - Support head quarter compliance in Customer Pricing Analysis (CPA)
- Identify and prepare appropriate operating and financial benchmarks for various channels and measure performance of various channels
against those benchmarks
- Support CCL team in financial anaysis and deal structing for all new deals entered directly by CCIPL with the customers
- Support CCL team in various other initiatives undertaken during the year and track performance
INTERNAL CUSTOMERS : Customer & Commercial Leadership team , Finance
EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS : Bottlers & Key Account Customers
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : Chartered Accountant (Desired)
MINIMUM RELEVANT EXPERIENCE : 6-8 years post qualification experience in FMCG/Beverage Industry/ Retail Industry
