Ensure proper filing and archival of records so that the same are
available to the auditors and to the senior managers at the time of discussion
Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the
role that require a continual test of the role holder’s abilities)
In this role the job holder is primarily responsible
in preparation of various group related returns. He/she has to ensure that all
group returns are submitted on time (including adhoc requests). The key
challenges for the job holder is:

ensure correct and timely preparation of all group returns

Liaise with various stakeholders to ensure above
·
Archival and retrieval of information on time
·
Ability to understand group reporting requirements (ie basic
interpretation of the requirements)
·
Navigating through HUB and other systems to extract correct and relevant
information
Role Context (The environment and operating
conditions of the role including the extent of guidance and authority)
Assistant Manager is the entry level job in the
financial reporting section. The job holder is the key member as he/she is
closer to the information to be provided. Preparation of timely and accurate
returns is the key responsibility of the job holder.
Management & Leadership of Regulatory,
Compliance & Operational Risk (Operational Risk / FIM requirements)
Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory &
Compliance matters. Maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the
likelihood of it occurring including its identification, assessment, mitigation
and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with section B.1.2
of the Group Operations FIM.
Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy
/ FIM requirements)
Maintain and observe HSBC internal control
standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy, including thetimely
implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external
regulators. Foster a compliance culture
and implement Group Compliance Policy by managing compliance risk in liaison
with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance
Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are
in place and training is provided, and optimising relations with regulators
Qualifications
Fresh qualified Chartered Accountant (this can be
subsituted with experience in relevant field, ie 2-5 years of experience)
