Job Components
Ø Maintain strong
working relationships with South Asia
tax team
Ø Maintain strong
working relationships with South Asia
legal team
Ø Be aware of all
business developments in India and South Asia and financial impact of the same
on compliance costs
Ø Proactively
understand the challenges acquisitions and divestitures pose on compliance
related matters including integration challenges
Ø Ensure key updates
on changes in compliance matters are provided and implication of the same fully
analyzed
Ø Establishing
challenging objectives for the compliance controllership team which creates an
impact on South Asia/India operations
Ø Succession planning
Ø Build strong expertise in all compliance matters that team
is responsible for
Ø Maintain metrics to
track compliance related activities
Ø Identify
initiatives within compliance by which team can drive cost optimization
opportunities (Example Service tax refund, Withholding tax collection etc)
Ø Enable outward and
inward talent movement which helps to keep high energy levels in the team
Experience
8 to 12 years managing accounting and compliance function
Working knowledge of IFRS
Excellent hold over Indian GAAP
Working knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws in India
Working in an Accounting Shared Services environment
