- Accounting / Finance Graduate / post graduate / diploma holder
- Qualified Accountant (Chartered Accountant, MBA, ACCA or CIMA): 2-7 years
- Accounting / Finance Graduate / post graduate / diploma holder: 3 - 8 years
- Extensive knowledge of Claims Accounting, Settlement Accounting
- Hands on experience on period end close process – Accrual analysis, True up/down computations

Job Description
- Review of Journal Entries, consolidation of financial / non-financial management information for a highly complex set of insurance businesses.
- Review of P&L and balance Sheet Schedules
- Produce and analyze ad hoc management information to exacting timescales for executive management across HK Insurance
- Extensive knowledge of Claims Accounting, Settlement Accounting
- Hands on experience on period end close process – Accrual analysis, True up/down computations
- Hedge Accounting
- Analytical review : Ensure that all material variances have been identified and explained in business terms
- Review of Management Accounts and their respective interpretation
- Ensure completeness of Journal Entries, reporting packs etc.
- Ensure the data is timely and accurate, and reconciles to the financial accounts.
- Strong engagement with Business Partners.
- Put Governance in place for more engagement.
- Ensure compliance with HSBC standards and Statutory requirements
- Has strong technical understanding of accounting principles and demonstrated competence in their application
- SOX Applications and testing Methodology
- Has strong knowledge of insurance / pension products
- Experience of working with Insurance Business with good track record / leading MNC/ corporate / insurance organization
